Attorney Vytenis Lietuvninkas

I am a native Chicagoan. Raised on the Southwest Side of Chicago in the Marquette Park neighborhood. Parents emigrated from Lithuania after WW II to escape Communist Russia occupation of their homeland. They taught their children the value of faith, education, honest hard work and blessings of liberty and freedom. 

Attended Nativity BVM parish elementary school, Quigley Preparatory Seminary South, University of Illinois at Chicago (B.A. Political Science 1981) and DePaul University College of Law -Juris Doctor 1984. 

​​​On graduation from law school while simultaneously working as a contract attorney for the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission opened a solo law practice in the community where I grew up.  

​Probate Division Circuit Court of Cook County court appointed Guardian ad Litem to protect the rights of disabled persons. 
​
​​​While I still remain  active in several community organizations most of my present volunteer activities devoted to the Lithuanian Scouts Association where at various times I have served as Worldwide Chairman of the Rovers and Cub Scouts Divisions, and as President of the Chicago Area Council (BSA Troop 113) and as Trustee of the Administration Committee of Camp Rakas near Custer, Michigan.
